Olds Ambassador Cornet in Winterville, Georgia

$50

Let's call this sale The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. I'm not a horn guy, just picked this up at a yard sale. Recognized the brand and know Olds are generally pretty good horns, so despite the condition figured I'd try to get it into the hands of someone who might appreciate it.  I believe the logo says it's an Ambassador model, but the text is obscured.   I looked online and found several recording cornets that looked like this, but am unsure if that's the accurate name. If anyone has any opinions as to the accuracy of that guess, feel free to message and let me know. The Good: The slides all function perfectly, as do the valves. The core tubing is in good shape and the slides all appear to be in good shape and theoretically could be used to spare parts for another such instrument. The Bad: The bell is badly dented, and there are several sizable dents in the tubing. The braces that hold the two sides together have come apart at the weld points and need to be reattached.  The outer areas of the cornet are basically, sadly, thrashed.  ALSO: a horn guy notified me this is missing the pinkie ring, whatever that is.The Ugly: The lacquer is in so so condition. The vintage Olds case is in good shape, with some minor scuffs but no cracks or structural issues.  Mouthpiece is a Vincent Bach, but I can't make out what size.  Since this thing is really beat up, this is an AS IS SALE.  You buy it, you own it, so factor that into your   appraisal of the worth of this thing.  NO INTERNATIONAL SALES.  Sorry, but paperwork is too complicated.  Thanks, and happy bidding.
